The Kumar Laboratory at UC Berkeley seeks a talented postdoctoral fellow. Our work focuses on cellular mechanobiology, with applications to cancer and stem cell biology. We are especially looking for a fellow to contribute to an active R01 centered around the role of the actomyosin cytoskeleton in cell mechanics and motility, but candidates with other relevant interests are also encouraged to apply. For more information about our work, including publications and alumni history, please visit kumarlab.berkeley.edu.
We would be especially interested in candidates with strong backgrounds in imaging, especially live-cell fluorescence apporaches (e.g. confocal, multiphoton, TIRF, FRET). Facility with standard cell and molecular biological approaches is also strongly preferred.
Please submit a CV and letter of interest through the postdoc link at http://kumarlab.berkeley.edu/positions.
