Being the largest private employer in the Central Valley means that people count on us to improve their quality of life. At Community Medical Centers, your role as a Pharmacist Specialist II plays an integral part in directly affecting those we serve. Here, you will actively feel and see the impact you have in fulfilling the central purpose of our mission: “to improve the health status of the community and promote medical education.”

The health and well-being of our region’s pediatric patients is one of our top priorities. By having the only perinatology program in the Central Valley combined with our expertise in handling high-risk pregnancies and deliveries, Community Regional Medical Center regularly receives patients from 15 other area hospitals. Our 84-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is the largest in the region and provides care for infants with complex critical care needs, including premature infants and babies with a variety of diagnoses. From high-risk antepartum, to labor and delivery, to postpartum and follow-up care, it’s all here… and as a Pharmacist Specialist II, you will be counted on to work alongside a physician team to provide the best pharmaceutical care for this specialized patient population.

In 2015 we partnered with UCSF Benioff Children’s hospital to further our ability to provide care for the children of our valley. As we continue to grow, we anticipate additional expansion of our Pediatric services and are looking for a Pharmacist Specialist II that will contribute their passion and experience to help us fulfill our mission.

By joining our NICU, you will be able to have a hands on role in the development of a vital need for our community. As a teaching hospital with UCSF affiliation, you will have the unique opportunity to round with physicians and residents who have the most up-to-date knowledge and resources in their field.

Your NICU Pharmacist Career at Community | Opportunity. Challenge. Growth.

From working on order sets to making sterile compounds, verifying orders, and dispensing medications with the help of technicians -- we deliver the excellent care and attention to detail that our patients deserve. As a Pharmacist Specialist II, you will also be encouraged to provide direct input and experienced recommendations while rounding with physicians and residents. You will be regarded as an expert in your field and will serve as a consultant to physicians, nursing staff and other hospital personnel.

We can offer you challenges to professionally grow AND the resources to succeed. In this role you will have the opportunity to further your career with clinical ladders as well as education reimbursement benefits for continuing education and certifications.
