Position Definition:
We are seeking a Project Coordinator with the Center for Population Brain Health at UCSF and the San Francisco VA Medical Center.
The Center for Population Brain Health (CPBH) is a collaboration of multidisciplinary investigators at the University of California, San Francisco and the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Our mission is to improve brain health over the life course to facilitate healthy aging. We conduct research focused on cognitive aging and brain health. The Project Coordinator will oversee several new projects related to the epidemiology of dementia and cognitive aging.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate all aspects of the research protocol and manage daily study operations and administration for several multi-site, epidemiological studies involving human subjects data
- Apply knowledge of epidemiological research methods and best practices
- Collaborate with other Universities and clinical entities and facilitate communications with principal investigator, co-investigators, study coordinators, and research staff to ensure execution of all research activity
- Develop and maintain essential project documents including meeting agendas, minutes for conference calls, analysis plans, literature searches, data use agreements, protocols, and training materials
- Monitor study progress to ensure adherence to timelines
- Produce detailed reports of study progress including NIH study progress reports
- Plan, schedule, and organize study-related meetings
- Maintain detailed record of work performance
- Assist with manuscript preparation and submission as well as dissemination of results including presentations and posters for conferences
- Help prepare and submit IRB applications and renewals for UCSF review board and SFVAMC R&D committee
- Manage project related administrative task
- Perform other research related duties as assigned
- BA/BS degree in a related science with 4-5 years of recent, directly related work experience following degree completion, utilizing the techniques or methods required by the position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical research and scientific writing
- Strong oral/written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Exceptional analytical skills to evaluate the importance and urgency of problems
- Excellent demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and priorities to achieve desired goals
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and regulations.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
