The Marcucio laboratory in the School of Medicine at UCSF is seeking highly motivated post-doctoral scholars wishing to advance their training. The successful candidates will join a mature, multi-disciplinary, and international collaboration aimed at investigating the mechanisms of skeletal development and repair. Funded projects are diverse and include examining variation as a fundamental property of developmental systems, as a driving force of evolution, and as an emergent property of many structural birth defects, examination of chromatin changes that underlie patterns of gene expression during facial development, and metaplasia of cartilage to bone during bone fracture healing.

Applicants should have a PhD, MD, DDS, MD/PhD, DDS/PhD, or equivalent with training in either molecular biology, bioinformatics, developmental biology, evolutionary biology, regeneration biology, stem cells, cell-cell signaling, morphometric analysis, genetics or related fields.
