Position Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the rehabilitation department. This includes but is not limited to the supervision of all therapy personnel, patient/resident satisfaction and evaluating/implementing new programs to meet the needs of the facility and it’s patients.
Qualifications:
- Current, OT, PT, SLP Licensed as required in California
- Minimum of 2 years' direct patient care experience and with management experience preferred
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Works collaboratively and independently to problem solve issues
- Knowledge of all regulations governing the department
- Kind, positive management style with ability to modify communication to the persons being dealt with at the level of maturity to which they function.
- Demonstrates patience and behaves professionally in all situations and while representing the company, remaining calm in stressful situations
- Effectively manages and motivates patients and staff

Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, develop assign and manage a team of therapists and assistants
- Provide direct patient care on site, acting as liaison to patients, family members, and support departments to adequately plan for patients needs
- Monitors the standard of clinical services delivered to ensure positive patient experiences in adherence to regulatory compliance
- Ensures the quality improvement, care planning, clinical utilization and patient identification duties are being performed appropriately and timely
- Provides reports as requested and needed
- Develops and implements programs appropriate for the patient population
- Stays updated on all regulations governing the department and the requirements for continuance of education
