DBS CONNECT is a comprehensive deep phenotyping initiative to capture multi-modal clinical and research data on our Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) patients with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders.
We are gathering rich clinical, behavioral, imaging and physiology data from this cohort longitudinally in order to understand the relationship between cortico-basal ganglia circuits, symptoms and DBS outcomes. Dedicated research coordinators will support in clinic data collection followed by at home longitudinal tracking.
The physiology lead researcher (Post doctoral scholar or Research Specialist) will support initial infrastructure development strategy and be responsible for the analysis of the neural data recorded from sensing enabled DBS devices as well as EEG and sleep Polysomnograms to determine the circuit physiology related to movement, mood and sleep. It is expected that this researcher will complete multiple write ups for publication and presentations at conferences.
PhD in Neuroscience, Neuro - engineering or related disciplines.
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to independently run experiments, analyze data and plan forward strategy combined with excellent team and collaborative working skills
Highly self-motivated, inquisitive scientist
Record of publication in peer-reviewed journals
Preferred:
Experience in neurophysiological analysis and strong analysis and coding skills (Matlab / Python).
Experience working with electrophysiology data (LFPs, EEG, ECOG, MEG).
