Back to Life is looking for a confident, self motivated, physical therapist eager to provide each patient with the most personalized, caring experience. Ideal candidates are great listeners, have a patient-centric focus and are eager to deliver excellence in patient care.

Back to Life specializes in returning people to full function without pain; particularly neck, back, shoulder, hip and pelvic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction including painful conditions such as dyspareunia, incontinence and prenatal/postpartum issues. Because of the unique focus on chronic conditions, we work with many patients who have hypermobility spectrum and auto-immune disorders and have developed experitse in these areas. Our physical therapists have their own areas of specialization that have included yoga, myofascial decompression, myofascial release, visceral mobilization, lymphedema and the LSVT-BIG approach to Parkinson's. And all PT’s provide trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirmed care. We welcome your own specialty/specialties into our community.

Given the intimate nature of the therapy we provide, our patient care starts with listening; working with the patient and their physician to develop optimal strategies for healing. We lead with kindness and compassion to ensure all of our patients feel safe and cared for during their treatment. All appointments are one hour (55 minutes direct care) in length.

Back to Life has been helping to bring relief to our patients in Oakland and San Francisco for 25 years. Our tenure has garnered the respect and professional confidence from the broader medical community allowing us to enjoy a strong referral network from physicians (including osteopathic and naturopathic physicians), as well as acupuncturists, massage therapists, craniosacral providers, yoga teachers, pilates practitioners and others.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience and areas of expertise brought to the practice.

Benefits: Back to Life offers a robust benefits package for our part time PTs working 20 hours or more, including:

  • Paid sick leave in accordance with the laws of the state of California and applicable local law.
  • Paid time off accruing over the course of the calendar year based on the minimum of a 20-hour work week.
