We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate with a background in magnetic resonance imaging research or bioengineering to undertake research on clinical translation of new hyperpolarized 13C magnetic resonance imaging probes.  The work will be undertaken in the laboratory of Robert Flavell at the state-of-the-art Mission Bay campus of UCSF. The focus of the research is on clinical translation of new hyperpolarized 13C magnetic resonance imaging probes for use in detecting high grade prostate cancer. These probes target alterations in tumor interstitial pH, which decreases as prostate cancer progresses from low to high grade disease. For further information, please see: https://radiology.ucsf.edu/research/labs/flavell.

Job Requirements:

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or M.D., or be near completion of their degree in a relevant subject area. The applicant should have relevant research experience in magnetic resonance imaging or bioengineering.  Preferred skills would be prior experience with hyperpolarization technology, molecular imaging, or clinical magnetic resonance imaging. This full-time post is funded by the NIH and DOD.

How to Apply:

Interested applicants should submit 1) a curriculum vitae, 2) a brief statement of research interests and 3) a list of three references. Please send inquiries to Robert Flavell ([email protected]).
