Mechanisms of lung cancer recurrence using patient-derived organoids
The UCSF Kratz Lab is seeking a Postdoctoral fellow available immediately to a highly motivated and self-reliant individual with an interest in investigating mechanisms of cancer recurrence using patient-derived organoids. This project involves the culture, manipulation, and sequencing of organoids derived from patients with surgically resected early-stage lung cancer. The fellow will perform experiments related to mechanisms of cancer recurrence, biomarker discovery, and data analysis.
Job Requirements:
- PhD or MD/PHD in either molecular biology, cell biology, or equivalent field
- Organoid experience is not required, however, applicant should have extensive background in cell culture techniques
- Experience with flow and/or mass cytometry required
- Experience with next-generation and single-cell sequencing, CRISPR, and other biomarker discovery techniques preferred
- Strong track record of first-author publications preferred
