Responsibilities

  • As Staff Software Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for developing the next-generation data analysis and visualization platform.
  • This role will develop a suite of tools to analyze and visualize spatial 3D genomic data.
  • This position will work closely with Engineering and Product Management to deliver easy to use analytic tools to help researchers explore and visualize their datasets.

Role:

  • Create enhanced 3D visualizations of the spatial genomic data.
  • Develop a range of analytic tools that allow for the discovery of new interactions.
  • Develop graphical tools using statistical data visualization libraries to analyze the results.
  • Work with other software and system engineers to refine data acquisition and data analysis workflows.
  • Architect and implement new solutions and validate new ideas by modifying existing solutions or developing new features.
  • Analyze performance and optimize solutions to enable analysis of big data.
  • Develop data mining and machine learning methods to analyze patterns and segregate or group data.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Python and Java.
  • Proficiency in statistical computing
  • Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as matplotlib, seaborn, pandas, etc.
  • Advanced degree in Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science (M.S. or Ph.D.)  D. (preferred) or Masters with 5 years of experience.
  • Expertise in rigorous quantitative data analytics practices (e.g. advanced statistical modeling and analysis, machine learning algorithms, funnel analysis, etc.)

Additional desirable skills to have:

  • Experience in R Programming
  • A solid background in biology.
