In addition, the candidate may be expected to train new lab members in basic skills of PBMC separation and cryopreservation and basic immunology techniques. The research associate will help to apply these assays to hypothesis-driven research projects, working closely with postdoctoral fellows and graduate students while receiving additional direct mentorship from the PI. The purpose of this position is to perform cellular immunology assays on human blood samples from clinical research studies performed in the malaria endemic region of Tororo, Uganda, The Staff Research Associate will be located in San Francisco, but will provide a role coordinating the activities of the PI’s field laboratory in Uganda with researchers in Uganda and San Francisco.
