The Formal Post-Bac Program at SF State University is seeking a number of instructors for courses listed below in their Spring 2023 semester. BIOL 623 - Pharmacology, 3 unit lecture, Mon & Wed 09:30 -10:45 am (75 min)
- Principles including pharmacokinetics of drug absorption and elimination. Mechanisms of drug action on the body. Commonly used pharmaceutical drugs.
BIOL 355 - Genetics, 3 unit lecture, Tues & Thurs 02:00 -03:15 pm (75 min)
- Viral, prokaryotic, and eukaryotic genetics. Population, human, and molecular genetics.
BIOL 627 - Biophysics, 3 unit lecture, Mon & Wed 02:00 -03:15 pm (75 min)
- Physical description of free energies and driving forces, energetic and timescales of biological processes, interactions of biomolecules, diffusion transport and signaling, protein DNA and membrane structure, molecular motors, cooperative binding, membrane potentials and excitability, and regulation of gene expression.
BIOL 621 - Reproductive Physiology, 3 unit lecture, Tues & Thurs 09:30 -10:45 am (75 min)
- Reproductive morphology and physiology of vertebrates.
Their Spring 2023 semester runs from Monday, January 30 - Friday, May 19, in addition to a week of final exams (May 20 - 26).
Instructors are required to offer an additional 1 - 2 office hours per week, depending on the number of units they teach. Maximum pay is $2021 per unit; thus, for a typical 3-unit lecture course, pay is $6063.
