In Vivo Scientist

SUMMARY

Assess activity and safety of biologics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute in vivo experiments to assess anti-tumor activity and safety of CAR T cells
  • Cell culture (cell line maintenance)
  • Analysis and interpretation of experimental data
  • Maintain detailed records of experimental protocols and results
  • Work collaboratively with other biologists and protein engineers
Job Requirements: 

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in Biology (or related discipline) along with 4+ years of experience; MS with 2+ years of experience in an academic and/or industrial setting; PhD with relevant post doc experience
  • Must have extensive experience with mouse handling and in vivo techniques, such as animal dosing (e.g. subcutaneous, intravenous and intraperitoneal) and caliper measurement; as well as aseptic technique and good cell culture practice
  • Experience with bioluminescent imaging (to monitor tumor growth) is highly preferred
  • Experience with immunological assays, such as multi-color flow cytometry, is preferred
  • Experience with lentivirus and CAR T cell generation is preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of software tools to support data analysis tasks (e.g., Prism, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • A willingness to learn and adopt new experimental skills as needed
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to maintain detailed documentation
