  • Acquire and scale (≤ one rack for a team of 2 experienced in vivo scientists) the above models into robust platform(s) capable of interrogating CAR-T therapeutic efficacy in vivo
  • Perform early research through asset identification and development, ultimately leading to  preclinical/IND data packages for novel, engineered cell therapies
  • Work as part of a small in vivo team (~2 people initially) within a larger multidisciplinary team (10 people as of job posting) to identify, procure, design and execute all in vivo experiments
  • Acquire, analyze and effectively communicate data to the team
  • Responsible for helping to scope and achieve in vivo milestones, maintaining high scientific rigor as well as teaching and mentoring current and future scientists

  • Proficient in handling small laboratory animals (i.e. mice and rats) including tagging, weighing, and taking caliper measurements
  • Able to prepare formulations of CAR-T cells, administer CARs and/or drug compounds and biological test articles via various routes (IV, PO, IP, SQ), collect blood, administer anesthesia, perform euthanasia, and harvest/process various tissue samples for analysis
  • Experience operating in vivo optical imaging instruments (e.g. IVIS)

  • Familiarity with IACUC protocols and regulations involved with in vivo work
  • Understanding and comprehension of techniques, nomenclature, equipment, etc. as they relate specifically to job performance function in the laboratory animal research environment
