Quantum Biosystems is a biotech startup developing nucleic acid sequencing technologies. We are located in Menlo Park, CA. We have an opening for a research scientist with a strong foundation in biochemistry, biophysics, or molecular biology. This full-time hire will play a key role in the development of the biological side of our sequencing instrumentation. Experience with any of the following is valuable:

• RNA and related enzymes
• single-molecule (especially surface-based) assays
• polymerases
• reverse transcription
• enzyme kinetics
• modified nucleotide synthesis and incorporation
• epigenetic modifications
• labeling and purifying proteins
• fluorescence
