Overview: Olio Labs is on a mission to make every human healthier. We are a small, high performance team that is built on technical excellence, trust, and relentless curiosity. We’re looking for a new team member interested in growth, leadership, and organization to take over research operations at our South San Francisco location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and execute high-throughput in vivo rodent studies, ensuring rigorous adherence to protocols
  • Visualize, interpret, and communicate experimental findings through clear plots, statistical analyses, and written reports
  • Lead and mentor a team of laboratory technicians and in vivo researchers, coordinating workflows and maintaining quality standards
  • Develop and optimize dissolution protocols—adjusting solvent systems, pH, and excipients—to achieve consistent, reproducible drug solubility
Job Requirements: 

Must-have Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in designing, executing, and analyzing controlled experiments
  • Solid working knowledge of Python, including experience writing scripts to clean data, generate plots, and perform basic analyses
  • Minimum one year of hands-on rodent handling and in vivo study experience
  • Proficient in preparing laboratory solutions
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing projects or teams, with strong mentoring and organizational skills
  • Exceptional analytical thinker with a track record of quickly mastering new techniques and troubleshooting complex challenges
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated, proactively identifying and addressing potential errors to guarantee optimal experimental integrity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience formulating chemical compounds, creating standardized stock solutions, dosing preparations, and quality-controlled drug dilutions for in vivo and in vitro studies
  • History of building experimental systems (rigs, arduinos, camera setups, automation) from the ground up
