Postdoctoral fellowship at University of California, San Francisco is available to pursue basic laboratory studies of tuberculosis and non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections. As part of a dynamic group of basic researchers investigating the mechanistic bases of TB infection, the candidate will focus their postdoctoral research on establishing the role(s) that specific host pathways play in the growth of mycobacteria in macrophages and animal infection models. Qualified candidates will have a PhD, MD, or MD-PhD, experience in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, and murine models of disease.
