We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar with experience in artificial intelligence and computer science to work on radiologic image analysis using machine learning and deep learning techniques, application of large language models to data within the electronic health records system, and integration of multimodal data to predict patient outcomes. Areas of interest include CT/MRI/PET image analysis in cancer, data standardization using LLMs, and automated identification for outcomes of interest in patient cohorts. The postdoctoral fellow will work independently but will meet regularly and work closely with the Mentor/Principal Investigator as well as collaborate with students, other researchers/scientists, and physicians. The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for developing new hypotheses and study design, development/testing and deployment of new machine learning and software methods in image analysis, performing data analyses, preparing abstracts, writing manuscripts, assisting with grant writing/development, and presenting work at scientific meetings. The postdoctoral fellow will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of the latest and most up-to-date research methods via literature review and scientific meeting attendance.
- PhD degree in Computer Science or related field, with or without MD degree
- Data analysis and biostatistics experience
- Experience in image and medical data processing including artificial intelligence
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work well with others utilizing excellent communication skills
- Very well organized and timely, able to meet deadlines and attend required meetings
- Two-year commitment
