A postdoctoral training opportunity is available in the Voglmaier laboratory to study mechanisms of synaptic vesicle recycling and neurotransmitter release. Highly motived candidates with a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Physiology or related field within the past 0-2 years as well as enthusiasm for high quality science and good communication skills are encouraged to apply. Patch clamp electrophysiology expertise preferred.

The laboratory is located in the Department of Psychiatry at UCSF and is affiliated with the large, vibrant UCSF Neuroscience Program, the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences, and the Kavli Institute for Fundamental Neuroscience. Successful candidate will also have the opportunity to present work at local and international scientific meetings (e.g. Society for Neuroscience).
