The Betancur laboratory is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows interested in using epigenetics and genomics approaches to study how radiation-induced inflammation protects tumor cells from immunosurveillance.

We are looking for a postdoctoral scholar candidate with exceptional communication skills, and with the ability and desire to work both independently and as part of a team.  Previous expertise in FACS analysis, production of viral CRISPR/Cas9 constructs and/or analysis of data from genome wide screens is prefer but not necessary. The Betancur laboratory is located at the UCSF Mount Zion Campus and the research focus of the lab is to understand the molecular alterations occurring after radiation therapy that suppress immune cells. The goal is to design methods to genetically correct these alterations and improve cancer treatment by combining radiation with immune therapy.

Applicants should hold a PhD, MD/PhD or be near completion of a PhD in immunology, molecular biology or a relevant subject area.
