A postdoctoral position is available at UCSF to contribute to a groundbreaking research project focused on advancing non-invasive prenatal diagnostics. The candidate will engage in developing a non-invasive fetal diagnostic test by isolating fetal cells from maternal cervical samples, utilizing single-cell sequencing, novel nanobody technologies, and comparative genomic analyses. The ultimate goal is to validate a safe, highly accurate prenatal test for clinical use.
Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, or a related field. Expertise in single-cell sequencing, antibody/nanobody development, large data set analysis, and genomic technologies is desirable. Strong molecular biology skills, excellent communication abilities, and a record of peer-reviewed publications are essential.
