The Lab of Liang Zhao, in the Department of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), is seeking highly motivated and talented postdoctoral scholars to join our research team. We are focused on advancing drug development and regulatory science through cutting-edge research in pharmacometrics, drug delivery modeling, and artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools that will closely impact drug development and regulatory decision making.
Position Overview
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will:
- Develop pharmacometrics models for drug efficacy and safety analysis.
- Build and optimize drug delivery models for targeted and personalized therapies.
- Integrate AI and machine learning techniques to enhance drug development and regulatory science processes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including pharmacologists, bioengineers, and data scientists.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct innovative research in quantitative pharmacology and therapeutic modeling.
- Develop novel algorithms and models for drug delivery and pharmacometrics.
- Create AI-driven solutions for optimizing drug discovery and development workflows.
- Publish findings in high-impact scientific journals and present at leading conferences.
- Contribute to grant writing and the development of collaborative research projects.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bioengineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong background in pharmacometrics, drug delivery systems, or AI applications in biomedical sciences.
- Experience with modeling and simulation software (e.g., NONMEM, MATLAB, R, Python).
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative mindset.
