Positions are available in the Rosenbluth lab at UCSF, for highly motivated scientists who are interested in performing breast cancer research using patient-derived organoid cultures.  The goal of our research is to develop therapeutic strategies for breast cancer, including by preventing cancer from developing in high risk individuals and by identifying new drug targets for highly aggressive breast cancer subtypes.  By growing normal and malignant breast tissues in 3D culture, we can identify and intercept the cells that form breast cancers at the earliest stages of development.  Our lab is highly integrated with translational research efforts and collaborative within the Breast Oncology Program, and is part of the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub.  The ideal candidate will be excited about contributing to the development and organization of an organoid-based research program.
