The investigator will apply and develop bioinformatics analyses to identify candidate oncogenes and tumor suppressors and their interactions from DNA and RNA sequencing data of various stages of melanoma development. Our groups have a particular interest in classifying the types of genomic instability in melanoma, determining their pathogenesis, and identifying vulnerabilities that can be therapeutically leveraged. There will be opportunities to validate findings in patient samples, including with single cell and spatial transcriptomic techniques.

We are looking for curious, ambitious and highly-motivated candidates interested in working in a collaborative environment with an interest in translational cancer genomics. The ideal candidate must have a PhD in bioinformatics or a related field.

The Yeh lab is located in the UCSF Helen Diller Family Cancer Center an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center -- a dynamic and interactive community which brings together hundreds of basic researchers and clinicians dedicated to the translation of promising ideas into treatments for cancer patients.
