In this postdoctoral training position, trainee will manage independent projects of interest focused on understanding immunotherapy resistance mechanisms and strategies to improve response with support of the lab.  Immunology, mouse modeling, and flow cytometry experience is preferred but not mandatory if there is strong desire to learn and train to perfect those techniques, which the lab can provide.  Trainee will also provide support to high-priority projects of the lab as requested which leverages preclinical mouse immunotherapy models, high-throughput RNAseq, spatial transcriptomics, CRISPR, FACS, other immunology techniques, and additional cutting-edge techniques with access to patient sample from our clinic and a novel animal model which includes survival surgery, radiotherapy, and imaging to conduct mechanistic studies and preclinical tests for innovative immunotherapy strategies, including stereotactic metastasis radiation and metastasis surgery. Trainee will be expected to undergo HIPAA training and preclinical/clinical data generation,  analysis and to share data and communicate scientific findings through lab meetings, UCSF/national/international presentations, and publications. The trainee will be mentored by lead-PI Dr. James Lee. The progress and performance will be monitored through regular meetings with the PI.

Job Requirements: 

Degree- PHD in biological or health sciences , immunology , molecular biology. Focus-  immunology, molecular biology, biological sciences .
