Clinical

  1. Provide health maintenance.
  2. Provide preventative health care.
  3. Provide evaluation and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses.
  4. Provide health education to patients.
  5. Perform basic interpretation of EKGs and laboratory values.
  6. Supervise physician assistant, mid-level practitioner, nurses, any residents, and students in the care they provide.
  7. Assist with triaging phone calls and drop-in visits.
  8. Participate in 24-hour on-call and hospitalization responsibilities, as per agreement.

Administrative

  1. Assist in maintaining and facilitating smooth clinic operations.
  2. Assist in utilization review and medical quality assurance, as requested by the Medical Director.
  3. Review patient charts and discuss patient disposition.
  4. Participate in designated projects delegated by the Medical Director.
  5. Assists in planning and conducting an in-service training program for an intern, resident, and technical staff.
  6. Assume administrative work as requested by the Medical Director.

Advocacy

  1. Carry out health advocacy measures by overall AHS health advocacy plans.
  2. Serve as a facilitator in this process.
  3. Take initiative in discovering new and more effective means of conducting health advocacy work with patients.
Job Requirements: 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1. Must have a valid California Physician/Surgeon license
  2. Must have current Board Certification or be Board Eligible in specialty
  3. Interest and commitment to serve the Asian community
  4. Primary care specialty in pediatrics, family practice, etc
  5. Proficient in an Asian language (Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Tagalog) a plus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Experience in working in the Asian community preferred
  2. perform duties.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  1. Valid California Physician/Surgeon license
  2. Current Board Certification or Board Eligible in specialty
