Pharmacist II (Statewide)

$166,176 - $179,748 annual salary          

 

California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking an experienced and dynamic pharmacy leader to serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and deliver complex pharmacy services as part of an interdisciplinary team.

 

In this key position and under the general direction of the Statewide Chief of Pharmacy Services and the institutions’ Chief Executive Officers, you will:

  • Plan and coordinate the institutions’ statewide pharmacy services program
  • Provide clinical guidance, supervision, and training to pharmacy staff to help ensure the safe, efficient, and effective use of medication therapies.
  • Advise and consult with other Chiefs, departmental leaders, and providers regarding the delivery of pharmacy services
  • Coordinate and oversee monthly audits of medication areas
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings regarding the delivery of drug therapies

 

In order to qualify for this opportunity, you must possess:

  • Current California Pharmacist license

AND

  • Two years of experience as a Pharmacist, preferably including one year in a hospital pharmacy
