Bring your passion for oncology patient care to our mission to prevent and cure cancer. As an Sr. Pharmacist Oncology you will be part of a growing program on the forefront of Cancer Treatment. We are looking for someone that is a great communicator, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to problem solve through critical thinking.

  • The Sr. Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring safety in compounding, preparing, and dispensing chemotherapy, and are responsible for minimizing drug waste, managing drug shortages, and decreasing exposure to hazardous drugs.
  • The Sr. Pharmacist is viewed as a medication expert who focus their time on providing direct patient care, offering patient education, and participating in clinical decision making.
  • Will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, social workers and navigators, and other members of the Oncology team.
  • Review and create care guidelines, and utilize a radiation/oncology electronic medical record system (OncoEMR) to assist with appropriate drug therapy selection, management, and monitoring.
  • Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with the California State Board of Pharmacy, California Department of Public Health, The Joint Commission, USP <797> and USP <800>.
Job Requirements: 
  • Registered Pharmacist license in California.
  • Previous hospital experience preferred or approved residency.
  • ASHP accredited hospital residency preferred.
  • Ability to exercise sound and professional judgment in the performance of the job functions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze complex tasks, systems, problems, and design and implement the most effective solution.
  • Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members, the patient and their family, and the public.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, principles, methods and equipment utilized in providing pharmaceutical services.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
