Outdoor Educator and Aftercare Supervisor positions (Bay Area)!
Avid4Adventure, voted by Outside Magazine as one of the Best Places to Work for the past 4 years and counting, is hiring! We are focused on experiential education in the outdoors for youth. We are hiring Physical Therapy students and all interested members of the UCSF community. If you are interested in a paid, full-time or part-time position this summer as an Outdoor Educator, this is a great way to fulfill 400 paid hours and gain experience teaching outdoor sports and leading groups! We spend our summers in beautiful state parks, throughout California, kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking, stand up paddle boarding and teaching survival skills. We provide sport training for all our instructors! We do not require a teaching degree but will provide addtional compensation for applicants with relevant teaching, outdoors and medical certifications/licenses as well as those with a valid driver's license (from any state), in recognition of your advanced experience and qualifications. We provide comprehensive staff training on all our sports.
Perks: Staff with children pre-K-7th grade, get a discount for enrolling them in our summer programming. When not working, you are free to use all of our kayaks, SUPS, mountain bikes to recreate with friends and family! As outdoor educators, we get awesome discounts at over 100 outdoor retail brands and a 75% discount on the initiation fee at Touchstone climbing gyms. when we sell off all of our gear at the end of summer, instructors get first pick and a discount.
