The Neuroscape Center at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to work on a translational neuroscience project examining the relationship between physiological biomarkers and cognitive aging and whether cognitive engagement may alter that relationship. The Post-Doctoral Scholar will work directly with the Principal Investigators. This is a 2-year position with the possibility of extension pending availability of funding and job performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Data collection from human participants: schedule and prepare remote data collection
- Monitor experimental procedures
- Data processing and analysis
- Training and supervision of study coordinators and interns
- Assisting with research protocols and compliance
- Contributing to data dissemination (poster presentations, manuscript submissions)
- PhD in neuroscience, psychology, biomedical science, or related field
- Expertise in computer programming (Matlab, Python, etc)
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data from wearables (e.g., smartwatches)
- Experience in creating predictive models using machine learning methods
- A record of peer-reviewed publications
- Excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail and strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working independently
- Experience with randomized control trials
- Prior experience working with older adults
