Community Medical Centers' Department of Pharmacy Services is a diverse and compassionate team of medical experts working to ensure patient safety through evidence-based practices. We are currently seeking a temporary MICU Pharmacist at Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC), the 685-bed flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers. CRMC is home to the only Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive burn center in the Valley serving 2.5 million people within 9 counties. The MICU Pharmacist plays a vital role as part of a collaborative medical team, actively participating in patient rounding on a daily basis. The incumbent will work closely with critical care physicians and staff to take care of our most vulnerable patients in the Intensive Care Unit. This position provides delivery of clinical pharmacy services, drug information, and monitoring of pharmacotherapy to patients at Community Regional Medical Center. The MICU Pharmacist serves as drug expert and consultant to physicians, nursing staff, and other hospital personnel. Additionally, this position is responsible for participating in pharmacy student and resident education and providing quality assurance review of drug utilization throughout the hospital for various medical staff committees and the department.
Minimum requirements:
- Doctorate of Pharmacy degree (Pharm D).
- Valid State of California Pharmacist license.
Preferred qualifications:
- Completion of Pharmacy Residency or related work experience in an acute care setting.
