Alameda County HEALTH CARE SERVICES AGENCY

Health Care for the Homeless is recruiting for a MEDICAL DIRECTOR.

We are seeking a passionate, committed agent of social change to help transform care for people experiencing homelessness and individuals needing support.

Alameda County Health Care for the Homeless (ACHCH) strives to eliminate barriers to health care and increase housing opportunities for people experiencing homelessness. ACHCH provides wrap-around services, outreach and linkage to support access to medical, behavioral health, dental, and optometry services for people who are unhoused. ACHCH has FQHC designation and delivers services through a combined approach of ACHCH providers and staff who serve patients directly, and through ACHCH-contracted providers in the area (public hospital system, FQHCs).

This year, with the number of unhoused reaching more than 8,000 people, we rapidly increased street health outreach services and shelter-based health services throughout Alameda County. We firmly believe that the problems of homelessness, health inequities, and racism can be solved. We invite you to join our dynamic team and be inspired by colleagues who share your mission and purpose.
