Human Biology (BIOL103) Instructor for Lecture and Lab

Lecture: Monday/Wednesday/Friday 1:00-2:05 pm

Lab: Monday 2:15-4:30 pm

Human Biology is a laboratory course for non-science majors that fulfills a University Core requirement (all students must take one laboratory course). The class surveys the major systems of the human body, introducing concepts of human health and disease. Topics to be covered, textbook and lab manual are set by the Department, but there is a lot of flexibility in how the course is actually taught. Previous syllabi and other information about the course will be available. The class will have approximately 20 students. Lectures are three times a week (MWF) and there is one two-hour lab on Mondays. The six-unit workload includes responsibility for preparation of labs with assistance from the Life Sciences Lab Manager. 

Course lecturers have responsibility for the full course. Compensation estimated at $13,536 for the semester. (Syllabus available on request.)

Job Requirements: 

PhD preferred, advanced graduate students with teaching experience may be considered.
