Lecturer position teaching Immunology this Fall at SFSU

The Biology Department at San Francisco State University is searching for a lecturer to teach an introductory Immunology class for Biology majors the Fall. The class, BIOL 435, is scheduled to be taught Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 2:00 to 2:50pm; however, classes at SFSU will be taught online this Fall, so it's possible to teach the class either synchronously at the scheduled time, in a hybrid format with some lectures scheduled synchronously and others scheduled asynchronously, or even completely asynchronously. A description of the class from the course catalog is below:

Immunology (BIOL 435). Prerequisite: BIOL 350 or BIOL 401 (Cell Biology or Microbiology). Intended for Biology majors. Innate and acquired immunity. Recognition of antigens. Mechanisms of immune responses and their induction. Measurement and variations of immunity as in hypersensitivity and immune suppression and their effects on the host.

Classes start on Monday, August 24 and end on Friday, December 11. Final exams take place the week of December 14.

If you have an interest in teaching the course, please email Chris Moffatt ([email protected]) with a copy of your CV and any recent student teaching evaluations you may have.

Best regards,

Chris Moffatt
