Podiatrist will support community based Ambulatory care health centers/programs.  An excellent opportunity to work within a very diverse population and be a member of a multidisciplinary team. This is a salaried position you will not work on productivity, allowing you quality time with the patients.  This is a non-surgical position, excluding bone procedures.

  • Perform “in-office” procedures inclusive of biopsies, nail avulsions, matrixectomies, foot and ankle injections, tenotomies, and capsulotomies.
  • Evaluation and treating foot, ankle and leg ulcers and infections within the podiatric scope.
  • Soft tissue procedures and palliative care.

 

Job Requirements: 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid current California Board of Podiatric Medicine license.
  • Valid DEA
  • May apply if in process of obtaining CA licensure and DEA. (Current lic in another state or enrolled in a residency program). But will NOT be appointed/hired until completion of residency or Valid CA licensure with DEA.

Condition of Employment

Within maximum 2 weeks prior to designated start date,

  • must be eligible to participate in Medicare, Medicaid and /or other federal health care programs.
  • Valid NPI
  • Valid third-party billable provider certification OR provide proof of submission of a completed billable provider application, with the required documentation to obtain the appropriate billable provider status.

LEAD DUTIES

Manages, supervises and supports podiatrists working in the ambulatory care setting
Plays key role in hiring and credentialing of podiatry staff
Reviews and take appropriate action on all referrals to non-surgical podiatry from the ambulatory care medical staff
Reviews and resolves patient grievances regarding podiatry services in ambulatory care
Meets regularly with podiatrists and communicates important announcements and deadlines
Communicates and collaborates with primary care stakeholders regarding the role and responsibilities of the podiatrist in the ambulatory care setting
