Re:       Request for Proposals

            This request seeks proposals (requested hourly rate) from Ph.D. candidates or persons who recently received their Ph.D. degree who are willing to work as consultants on an hourly basis to assist University of California, Hastings College of the Law (“UC Hastings Law”) faculty and students with the following items:

·         IRB training;

·         Serving as an ad-hoc information resource for faculty who are new to human-subjects research about what the IRB process entails, what training might be required, where to get it, what forms to fill out, how to complete them, and what external IRB might be best; and

·         Troubleshooting IRB review questions with faculty and students.

Hours will be variable, but are not likely to be more than 5-10 per week, and in many weeks will be zero.
