As an Instrument Inside Sales Representative in our Santa Clara, CA or Wilmington, DE office, you will be assigned your own product portfolio of instruments, accessories, and software. Specifically, this includes GC, GC-MS, LC, LC-MS, UV-Vis and FT-IR.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with the field sales channel to drive order growth through inbound customer calls, Account Manager referrals, prospecting, etc.
  • Maintaining a sales funnel, following up on opportunities, quoting customers, and ultimately driving the sale to completion
  • Driving order growth and market share through outbound prospecting activities
  • Quick responses to customer sales inquiries from the phone, web, and email
  • Cross sell and up sell to ultimately drive sales
  • Participate in channel specific initiatives, meetings, training solutions, and commercialization and other sales activities.
  • Continually develop sales skills through training, coaching and self-review
Job Requirements: 
  • BS/MS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or equivalent
  • No prior experience required
  • Excellent verbal, written and phone communications skills
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment
  • Flexibility to accommodate various time zones
  • MS Office Proficient
  • Preferred: understanding of sales funnel/sales process
  • Preferred: prior experience with sales and/or laboratory work
  • Available for up to 25% travel if needed
