The Data Science team at InsightRX operates a cutting edge research and development program in pharmacometrics while also building and deploying production-ready models and software to our precision dosing platform. They use real-world clinical data to support data-driven decision-making both by clinicians at the bedside and by internal stakeholders to advance the science and adoption of precision dosing.
What You'll Do
As a data science intern, you will assist the data science team in building and deploying models, delivering data-driven insights to our customer success and sales teams, and communicating your findings to stakeholders across company functions. Your exact projects(s) will vary depending on your professional development goals and your past experience, but could include tasks like:
- Conducting analyses to understand how users at different hospitals interact with our product and identify areas or processes for improvement
- Creating data visualizations for Customer Success and Sales to understand how our partner hospitals are using our precision dosing platform
- Communicating your analysis to both technical and not-as-technical stakeholders using a variety of mediums
- Building a machine learning model to predict which pharmacology model best serves a specific patient population
Required Qualifications
- Solid programming skills to retrieve, process, and analyze data in R or Python
- Strong statistical analysis and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to engage with and convey insights to a diverse range of stakeholders, both technical and not-as-technical
- Ability to proactively stay in sync with other data scientists and engineers as you push your work forward
- Available and eligible to work as a full-time paid intern for 10-12 weeks in the summer of 2022 (dates and location flexible - we are a fully remote company!)
- Graduating in later 2022 or 2023 with a graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in quantitative life sciences, engineering, data science, or other quantitative field
