Position Description: The Graduate Student Researcher (GSR) will be responsible for assisting the Principal Investigator (PI), Janine Cataldo, with the analysis of video and audio data from a usability study with lung cancer patients and a virtual world game to promote improved self-care. Opportunity to participate in manuscript development.
Responsibilities include:
1.Enter transcribed audio data in to Atlas ti;
2.Transcribe usability videos and transfer data to qualitative data analysis program;
3.Conduct preliminary analyses;
4.Respond to participant emails and questions; and
5.Communicate regularly with the PI and team members about study progress.
Hours:16 to 18 hours per week
Compensation: $20.18/hour
- No fee remission
Doctoral student preferred.
Experience in conducting qualitative interviews is preferred.
Experience with Atlas ti preferred but not required.
Experience with games for health and/or virtual world technology – a real plus but not required.
