We are currently seeking a Discovery Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at Novartis. Utilizing both in vitro and in vivo approaches, this individual will play a key role in a research project focused on uncovering novel KRAS biology contributing to tumor resistance in a tissue specific manner (e.g., KRAS mutant CRC vs PDAC) Key Responsibilities: * Leverage a variety of model systems including cellular models, organoids, tumor xenografts, and genetically engineered mouse models (GEMMs) * Work with a broader team of post-doctoral fellows and labs (aka "RAS Hub") * Build mechanistic hypotheses that can be tested experimentally utilizing a variety of approaches including functional genomic screens (in vitro and in vivo), novel data science tools (in collaboration with our data science colleagues) and leveraging clinical data sets (collaborating with our translational research colleagues) * The candidate is expected to work in a highly collaborative environment with a diverse team of scientists and post-doctoral fellows to uncover unexplored KRAS biology that will inform us of RAS mutant disease, resistance mechanisms and insights that will ultimately help patient treatments

Job Requirements:

* Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D. in Molecular or Cellular Biology or a related subject area * A record of academic excellence, evidenced by publications, awards, fellowships, etc. * Demonstrated independence in thinking, with a focus on discovery, problem-solving, and curiosity * Strong organizational skills and commitment to performing research of the highest quality. * Hands-on in vivo experience with mouse models and techniques is desired, but not necessary, as training will be provided * Experience with standard molecular and cell biology techniques, including qPCR, flow cytometry, immunoassays, cell line engineering, and genetic perturbation techniques * Functional genetic screening, transcriptomic profiling methods, and data analysis experience would be an advantage, although training in these areas is available * Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams, fostering productive research collaborations * Excellent communication and presentation skills
