As an early member of the team and the first intern you will play a key role in the development of MantleBio:

  • Work closely with teammates to define and implement bioinformatics workflows on the Mantle platform
  • Collaborate with the product team to influence product direction
  • Opportunity to explore new applications for leveraging Mantle’s technology in biology research
  • Report directly to the CEO
Job Requirements: 

Required

  • 3+ years of experience developing algorithms, pipelines, or software for life science research
  • Proficiency with the Python programming language

Nice to Have

  • Experience working on bioinformatic data pipelines (e.g. Airflow, Nextflow, Snakemake)
  • Experience working in the biotech industry
  • Experience with software infrastructure tools: AWS, Docker, Relational Databases
  • Experience with analysis languages: R, Shell scripting
  • Experience applying statistics or machine learning

Perks and Logistics

Salary: 8.5k - 10k per month

  • We work 4 days a week in person in downtown SF to foster collaboration while allowing flexibility and heads down work time
  • Flexible start date: March 20 to May 20
  • Flexible duration: 8 weeks to 12 weeks

  • Examples: working on a research project with multiple labs, developing an open source library, creating a bioinformatics pipeline for other members of your team, designing your lab’s data management processes, etc

The interview processes consists of two virtual technical interviews, and an optional onsite to meet the team.
