$106,433.60-$150,030.40 Annually

*Provisional Appointments: For a provisional appointment, a civil service exam is not required. However, to obtain a regular position, the appointee will need to compete successfully in a County Exam when open.
The POSITION
Under general direction, plans, organizes and directs a variety of outpatient service programs for children, adolescents and families; supervises program components servicing severely disturbed and/or substance abuse clients, including children's services in Behavioral Health Care Services (BHCS) and a network of special day class and school-based services; responsible for coordination and collaboration of children and youth services with community-based outpatient service programs; provides supervision and direction to subordinate personnel; and performs related duties as required.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES
This is a single-position class located in Behavioral Health Care Services. The incumbent reports to the Children System of Care Director and is responsible for providing direct administrative support to the Director in the areas of organizational policy and program development relative to the children's system of care service delivery, public information/ relations activities and resolution of policy and operations problems. This position is distinguished from the next higher-level class of Director, Children System of Care in that the latter is fully responsible for the operations of the Division while this position works in assisting the Director with managing the operations of the Division.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Possession of a master's degree from an accredited university in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Psychiatric Nursing or an appropriate behavioral science; AND,
Experience:
The equivalent of four years of progressively responsible post-graduate supervisory and administrative experience in community organization, program planning and evaluation, budget, fiscal and personnel management. At least two years of this experience should have been experience with emotionally disturbed children and adolescents and their families in a community mental health or medical setting; AND,
License:
- Possession of a State license in either Clinical Psychology, Psychology, Social Work or Nursing.
- Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
